New submission from Sara
Old man sitting in the park today at lunchtime. I already felt uncomfortable before I walked past as I thought he had said something racist to a man coming in the other direction. As I came near to him, he said, “I like the belt,” and I thought to myself that I had been judgemental and it was all fine, and he was actually just a bit strange but not malicious. Then he said, “nice waist, shame about the arse.” I ignored him and carried on walking, but hated the fact that this could be going on in broad daylight, in a fairly busy area. I wanted to say something, but didn’t know what, or if it was safe. I also hate the fact that I have been checking my reflection in shop windows for the rest of the day, to try and work out what is wrong with my arse.
