New submission from Mel
It was hot so I was wearing a skirt- walking to school I heard a whistle from behind me, but didn’t really think much of it and carried on walking.
A couple of days later though I saw a bloke painting his house- the street was empty, so I crossed to the other side before he saw and started making kissing sounds and it made me so fucking angry. I don’t usually lose my temper, but I did shouting back at him “I’m not a fucking dog!” and then /he/ looked offended?
The worst thing about it is that he lives down my street, so now I either have to walk a different way or try to avoid him… Ugh.

Dear Mel,
from what I have learned from my experiences, you don’t have to avoid him. No, you have given him a lesson, and the lesson is that he will not come away with his behaviour. You definitely gave him a lesson, that’s why he looked offended. It is good that he felt let down, that takes some power from him and gives you back the power that is actually yours. Don’t feel bad for it, it was just very right.
Next time he sees you, just put on a very self-assured (because you were RIGHT) face and look straight at him. I am sure he will not dare to be disrespectful again.
And you are able to teach him another lesson, anyways. But you won’t have to. Once is often enough.
Keep your head high!
