I was having lunch with a male friend in one of the two restaurants in London. He was in a car accident 3 years ago, and is paralysed A.D. in a wheelchair. We were having a nice catch up, as we both work in the area. As we were finishing our meal, obviously laughing and joking (like old friends do), when two corporate, well dressed men left the adjacent table and came up to my friend. They then said (audibly so others around could hear) “wow mate, she looks expensive, how much does she charge an hour?”
I was completely livid (justifiably I think) and my friend told them to F off. I caused a bit of a scene, as i was so angry and embarrassed, and the manager came over to calm me down. The restaurant were no help, basically saying that it was not their problem, and being completely contemptuous to me, for causing a scene! They seemed to imply it was my fault (obviously my very expensive grey suit just screams hooker)
Luckily, a very kind waitress told us she knew the company they worked for, and as coincidences would have it…I went to university with their boss. They are going to get their comeuppance!

What a bunch of twats. I’ve just followed @Hollaback on twitter and also @everydaysexism. Good for you for getting some inside information on them. That was unbelievably rude, to you and your friend. Totally ignorant twats who probably live with their mamas.
