New submission from Grace
I was in a nightclub in my home town with a big group of friends, both male and female. I was wearing jeans- not that it matters whether I was wearing a bikini or a maxi-dress, but it made a difference to the assault- We were stood in a circle dancing when a man came up behind me and grabbed my behind. As he did he tried to stick his fingers inside me. It was a split second decision, and I’ve never done anything like it before or since, but I turned around and immediately slapped the guy around the face, as hard as he had grabbed me. He was laughing as I turned around but looked so shocked when I hit him. He yelled ‘What the fuck did you hit me for?’ and I said back, quite calmly for how angry I was, ‘If you get to grab my ass, I get to hit your face.’ I turned back to my friends and we carried on with our night. A lot of people say and laughed- but they were laughing at the guy, and not at me- as it should have been. I don’t condone violence at all but in this occasion it really worked; and I think every guy who saw it happen would have thought twice before they did it to a girl. And I bet the man didn’t do it again- for a while, at least.
