New submission from CharleyBarley
I was waiting for a bus at my local bus stop, located on a quiet main road, on a Sunday afternoon. I saw a man walking towards me with his bike, and he was holding a beer can covered in a small bin bag. He walked past me and said “mmm…very nice” then asked me where I’m from (I’m British Born Chinese). I replied without looking at him that I was born here. Next question from him was “what’s your name?” to which I replied “sorry, I don’t know you so I’m not comfortable giving you my name.”
That was enough for him to launch an expletives verbal assault to me. He was calling me filthy names, saying I am a fat ugly c*&(, that I wasn’t “all that” and there are a million women better than me. When I challenged him he said I was rude because I didn’t answer his question, that he was brought up with manners and good etiquette (!).
His verbal assault continued for a good few minutes and when I said “what is your problem? You started the whole thing and now accusing me of being rude?” He just continued with his, by now, repetitive verbal assault. I laughed at him and told him he need to come up with better insults because I am not the least bothered about it. (but inside, I was fuming).
He cycled off after I told him to fuck off while putting my ipod on. I hope he gets run over by a bus.
