On the tube at Barons Court I saw a man groping his girlfriend between her legs. She repeatedly asked him to stop, but he just laughed at her, so I went over and said ‘She asked you not to do that- stop it.’ He said ‘She’s my girlfriend’. I said ‘She’s asked you to stop. Stop it.’ He called me a cunt and dragged his girlfriend off the train at Earl’s court. I really hope she’s ok.

I really hope she’s not his girlfriend any more; but sadly I can imagine she is. I’ve seen this sort of thing before and while you want to intervene, its not always wise; it can make it worse for the victim later. That doesn’t excuse it of course but judgng when to say something is hard.
I was at pride a few years back and saw a girl punching her girlfriend repeatedly and violently in the face!! Nobody bothered and minutes later they made up. What can you do?!!
